Tried the Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner with a DIY sheet mask yesterday after @skincarecurator asked me how I was liking it in a previous routine post. I remember reading that this Japanese toner is great to use with a compressed mask and very economical too!
I was shocked when I poured the toner in to the bowl with the tiny tablet-shaped sheet mask, it expanded so fast! It was quite freaky! I'll take a video next time. Y'all have to see it! ⠀
Anyway, since the Hatomugi is really watery, the liquid was dripping all over while I was unfolding the sheet mask and placing it on my face - so messy! I might have poured too much and I've also never tried a sheet mask drenched with very thin liquid so I am not used to it.
⠀
Initially, I was really skeptical. I was expecting it to dry fast and give underwhelming effects buuuuuuut I was really surprised when I took off the mask! First of all, I wore the mask for 30mins. When I took it off, it was still pretty moist. Comparing it with the TFS sheet mask that I used the night before, this stayed moist longer. Secondly, my face was noticeably brighter! I was impressed and happy with the amount of brightness it delivered! Plus, since the Hatomugi is so lightweight, it gave my oily skin just the perfect amount of moisture! However, I got two red spots/itchies near my jaw but they eventually disappeared after a while. ⠀
Overall, I love it. I think this will be a great morning mask. It's also a great way to use up the product since the bottle is huuuuge! Will definitely try again and see if I would still get a bad reaction. I hope I don't! 🤞🏼

Would love to know if you're using this product and if you're liking it or not. It was just so-so for me but the DIY sheet mask just changed my mind! 💞
