Last night's sheet mask pick was this Shiseido Haku Melanofocus EX Whitening Mask which a friend gave me. She had this with her for a while (hence the battered packaging) but we didn't get to see each other until a few months back. If I had not joined the #ABnewyearstashchallenge, I'm sure my sheet masks would still be in a mess and I highly doubt I'd pick this to use. I had arranged my sheet masks by kind (moisturizing, brightening, trouble, etc.) and by expiry date and this was at the top of my brightening pile because there wasn't an expiry date listed on the pack.
Anyway, here are my thoughts:
⭐️ this came in two pieces, upper half and lower half. The fit of lower half was great but the mouth hole was very small. The top part was just horrible as it didn't have any slits around the nose area making it impossible to let the mask hug the sides of the nose.

⭐️ it had a milky-ish essence that felt slippery but soft. There wasn't any essence left on the pack but the mask was soaked well. Scent was a little weird for my liking and I just couldn't pinpoint what it was. But it was bearable.
⭐️ the lower sheet started bothering me 25 minutes into masking. The upper lip area wouldn't stay flat against my skin. By 28 minutes, I had to remove the mask even though it was still pretty wet because it was getting annoying already.
⭐️ even though I had issues with the fit, this left me with super bright skin! ✨ And my skin felt well moisturized and refreshed plus no sticky feeling! Was so happy with the results! I immediately thought I should've saved this mask for a special occasion!!!
I did some googling and I think that this is already discontinued as it isn't listed in the Shiseido website and the prices are way off compared to other Shiseido masks which goes from USD30 to 60. This is being sold for about USD130.00 for 6pcs! 😱
Would love to know if anyone has tried this mask or if you have a favorite skincare product from Shiseido! I love their Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate! Just wish it isn't so expensive. 😢
