The @theskincarecurator sent me the @cosrx Light Fit Real Water Toner To Cream to try (thank you so much!) and I am sharing my initial thoughts on this new product.
-This cream has a unique water drop formula that can be used either as a toner or a moisturizer. This technology allows the product to deliver active ingredients deep into the skin, namely Sea Water (soothing), Vitamin C & E, Niacinamide, & Sodium Hyaluronate. Benefits include hydration, brighter and clearer skin.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The main thing that I immediately noticed is that the COSRX Light Fit Real Water Toner To Cream's texture is very similar to the Cure Water Treatment Cream and the Elizavecca Aqua Hyaluronic Acid Water Drop Cream which I both love. Water beads form as soon as you spread the product on the skin which is really amusing! I believe the main difference of the COSRX one from the other brands is that this one is packed with more skin-loving ingredients!
The Light Fit Real Water is very easy to apply since it's watery and silky in texture. True to its name, it is lightweight and has a refreshing citrusy scent. I tried it as a toner, applied it on my bare face and my skin very quickly absorbed the product. My skin also immediately felt softer. I followed it with an FTE and I was happy at how it was absorbed seamlessly. I added another essence then used it again as a final moisturizer but noticed a very slight tacky feeling, nothing uncomfortable really, and that disappeared as soon as I applied my sunscreen. When I applied my sunscreen though, I noticed that it got absorbed very quickly, like my skin was drinking it in, so I had to apply more than usual. I'm not exactly sure if that's a good thing or not but I think it is since it seems that the cream really helps absorb products applied on top.
Of course, I will have to use this continuously and observe it further but so far, I am liking it. My oily skin always appreciates light textures plus I also used my skin analyzer and it showed that the cream greatly improved my skin's level of moisture, oil and softness so it is definitely delivering loads of moisture in my skin!
I also like the idea of it being a multi-step product - toner and moisturizer in one, making it a hard-working product. COSRX also suggests that this can be applied in several layers; placed in the fridge for a more cooling effect; and mixed with a drop of face oil for deeper and long-lasting hydration. Definitely popping this in the fridge! The texture is already perfect for summer but that extra coolness sounds heavenly! I can already picture myself oooh-ing and aaaah-ing!
