IG REVIEW: Hope For Skin Sun Protect 45 UVA/UVB

A few weeks back, I’ve received a package from Hope For Skin, a local brand of all natural and organic skincare products that sources their main ingredients from local farmers. Since I‘ve only tried very few local skincare brands (despite the numerous good ones I’ve been hearing and reading about), I gladly said yes when Hope For Skin reached out to me and asked if I’d be interested to try their products. I was excited to finally explore the local market! 🇵🇭

The brand sent me their Sun Protect 45 UVA/UVB and Vitamin C Collagen Serum - thank you, Paola! 🤗 I decided to try the sunscreen first and ingredients include aloe, wild berry and strawberry extracts, zinc oxide, and coconut and natural plant oils. Product description says that this is highly suitable for oily and combination skin and can also double as a makeup primer.

I’ve been using the sunscreen for the past week and I am soooo impressed! It‘s a water based gel sunscreen (NO WHITECAST - yaaaaaas!) that is very lightweight and with ZERO stickiness when it dries! Skin just feels soft afterwards. Finish is slightly dewy but not oily. I’ve noticed that my skin is actually less oily with this compared to the Biore UV Face Milk which has mattifying properties. It definitely smells of strawberry but the scent dissipates after a while. So far, no breakouts and I love that it also feels refreshing on the skin. As a makeup primer, I’ve only been wearing very minimal makeup lately so I really can’t offer my thoughts in that regard. But I am really enjoying this sunscreen!

Thank you so much Hope For Skin for sending this my way! This is the first time I’ve ever gotten excited over sunscreen. 💖
