I applied the #COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid, waited for 25mins then next was the #AztecSecret Indian Healing Clay, only on my t-zone. I usually just mix water with it but since I was doing a deep cleanse, I decided to use ACV. My t-zone was noticeably red afterwards which kinda expected because of the throbbing sensation (and shrinking) while the mask was drying.
I then applied #DHC Deep Cleansing Oil and let that sit for 15mins. I also busted out my facial steamer thinking that it would help loosen up the dirt in my pores. After waiting, I massaged my face, particularly the t-zone (with the cleansing oil) for 3 minutes and this is when I was supposed to feel the grits coming out of my pores.
I could feel the dirt but they were still stuck. I couldn't help it, I took out my extraction tools and squeezed them out. I also used my dermabrasion gadget to make sure they all get sucked out. I was able to remove quite a good amount but not all. I really should get a facial next time and let a professional do the job. My skin was pretty red after but at least there weren't any bruises which is what happened when I gave myself a facial for the first time.
So of course, I needed to soothe my skin. I used the #Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum to help close up my pores and also picked the #Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask which I've been soooo excited to try. The mask has a really lovely scent and I was surprised that the essence was a little slimy. I don't think I've ever used a snail mask before. Is that consistency normal? I was able to save the remaining essence but there weren't really a lot left. Anyway, the fit was good and even when I took it off after 50mins, the mask was still pretty wet.
Here's the thing, I got quite a lot of red itchy patches from the mask, mostly on my chin. I didn't feel any discomfort during masking but when I removed it, that's when I felt that the red patches were slightly warm and itchy. Has anyone experienced the same thing with this mask? I'm wondering, maybe it's also a reaction from the Aztec mask? My skin is pretty tolerant and I've never had this much redness from any beauty product I've tried. Normally, it's just a small red itch here and there that goes away fast. I applied the #WLab Propolis Soothing Booster and thankfully, after an hour or so, my skin was back to normal. I really, really want to love this mask and I will give it another try next time under normal circumstances to see if Mu skin is really badly reacting to it or if yesterday was just a fluke. I really hope it will be better.
