This mask got me confused. To be fair, I have only tried a handful of masks and most were from The Face Shop so my comparison may be limited.
First off, I found the material of the mask a bit rough. There was an inconsistent weave-like pattern where some parts were thick and some thin. The masks I've used before generally have a smooth texture. Secondly, the essence was quite watery and I am undecided if I like that or not as I am used to mask essences that feels heavy on the skin, so heavy that my skin would feel really sticky and I would always get the urge to rinse it a bit with water. This, however, was very light - it felt like it removed (or maybe evaporated?) whatever serum and ampoule I've applied beforehand. So my skin wasn't as heavily moisturized after and my initial thought was that this mask was a fail for me.
I store my masks in the fridge and I couldn't tell if the mask dried up towards the end while I was using it because my face just felt cold! But I did like that the essence wasn't sticky! Is because it's an aloe mask hence the light texture??? It's also good that there were a lot of the essence left in the pack.
Here's the good part - the following day, I was very surprised at how nice my skin looked. It wasn't as oily/shiny as usual. And I like that because since I have oily skin, it felt like my skin had just the right amount of moisture. I will try this again as I have another pack on hand. Then maybe try another aloe mask from another brand to see the difference.
I would love to know if any of you have tried this and your thoughts as well. 🙂
